At a press conference earlier today, Governor Hogan announced that he has tapped former CDC Director Dr. Robert Redfield to advise Maryland’s COVID-19 recovery efforts. Dr. Redfield joins a team of top public health and business leaders who have helped guide the state’s evidence-based approach, including former FDA commissioner Scott Gottlieb.

Upon accepting the role, Dr. Redfield praised Governor Hogan for his “effective leadership” in this crisis “which I really think has been a model for our nation.”
