As Governor Hogan Continues To Lead Amidst Threat of Omicron, New Analysis Ranks Maryland’s COVID-19 Response As Top Two in Nation

A new analysis from POLITICO recognizes Maryland for having one of the strongest health and economic COVID-19 recoveries in the nation, ranking the state second overall in America based on a review of health, economic, social well-being, and education metrics. Unsurprisingly, given these results, a recent poll found that 79% of Marylanders approve of Governor Hogan’s COVID-19 leadership.

With the Omicron variant posing a serious threat and COVID-19 hospitalizations surging across the country, Governor Hogan is continuing to take action and provide clear messaging urging Marylanders to get vaccinated and receive their booster shots. Over 99.9% of Maryland seniors and over 90% of Maryland adults have now received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine - among the highest in the nation.
